Please choose the version you want to install from our website: DCS World versions Run, specify the directory and observe the process. By default, the files download using torrents uploaded parts become available to all who currently run the updater. After downloading, the files are unpacked to the desired structure on the disk is deleted from the temporary directory, and the updater is shuts down. Re-start the updater available from the start menu (Eagle Dynamics - DCS World - DCS World Update). Downloading will continue from the point where it was interrupted.
Due to the rather large volume of the simulator there are often questions about copying of DCS World, which is already downloaded on another computer. "Frontal" way of copying might work, but sooner or later it will end up in a complete reinstall. How to properly and safely do this: 1. Copy the existing module to any temporary location (external Flash Drive), preserving the folder structure of simulator (for example, E:\DCSCopy\). 2. Create in the root directory of the DCS simulator the text file with the title: dcs_local_source.txt 3. The contents of the file is the path to a temporary directory, in this case (UTF-8!): E:\DCSCopy\ 4. Run DCS World web installer and follow the installation process. The Updater will read the dcs_local_source.txt file and find your existing files, compare the version numbers, download all the required and will install it correctly. 5. After installation of DCS World on second PC, you can delete the temporary directory.
If your module is not listed, then download any version, open the file with editor (Notepad++) and change the module name to one that does not manage to install, save under the desired file name and put this file to root DCS World folder and run it once.
You don't have to buy anything. Just download and install DCS World + A-10C module. It will probably find your valid key in the windows registry, maybe asks for activation, just press OK or next or whatever. You can keep your current standalone version, but of course you can uninstall it later if you wanna save hard disc space. DCS World + A-10C module and standalone A-10C are separate products, so they don't mess each other even if you keep both.
I have an issue buying the A-10C module when i just purchased the DVD version two days ago for $43.00. Howcome it does not work with DCS world and if i need the download version then the dvd version should be pulled from the stores as it does not work. i even tried installing it into the same aircraft folder as the P51D and then nothing worked and i had to uninstall everything and start over. Is there something i am doing wrong with this pain in the rearend simulation.
So, the only thing you need from the DVD is the Activation Key. If you have DCS: World already, just download the A-10C MODULE(you can even do this through the module manager now), install it, then start a mission and if it asks for your Activation Key, put it in.
I hope you have better luck then I did as I fought trying to get the DVD version working for over 14 hours during two days and never got it to work. I even tried installing it to the same folder inside DCS world as the other aircraft. Doing that caused me to uninstall DCS world and the other aircraft and reinstall everything except DCS A-10C. I called Amazon and they are allowing me to return the DVD version for a full refund including the cost both ways for shipping. I will use DCS world and module Updater and buy the download version which should work. It may be something in my system however that is the only program I have had trouble with.

i have bought a CD-Version of A-10C several months ago and now i want to integrate it into my DCS World Installation. I downloaded the A-10C Modul (Vers. 1.2.5) from the DCS website and when i try to install it i get the message "DCS World vers. 1.2.5. required", but that is the actually installed version of my DSC World. I tried to install it into my Steam Installation of DSC World and into a separate Folder - the same message. What`s wrong ? Can anyone help ?
Being an old player returning, I do not have the activation keys to my Boxed Warthog A10c and downloaded Black Shark 1 and updated 2. New computer now, still have the old, but that computer had issues.
again, i have the a10c installed from a cd plus dcs world from the steam download. i also downloaded the a10c module from the dcs main site but couldn't install it because of dcs world having a newer build than their a10c module.
I am on a limit data-cap, i own and have A-10 installed with Steam already. I have used up 5gb to download DCS World, do now do i have to download A10 via your instructions again all 7gb? and uninstall the Steam version?
Because it doesn't work that way. Your steam version of A10 is a complete, separate game. DCS world is, basically, the newest, updated version of A10C (or blackshard, or p51d), but without access to the A10C. DCS World is free, which is why A10C is not included. However, you own A10C and can easily get access to A10C in DCS World, by downloading and installing the A10C module. As posted above, the modules are small, and are only needed to add the complex sim part for whichever craft you buy (a10c, blackshark, p51). You already own A10C, so you do NOT have to purchase it again. Just download/install the module, use your steam cd key to activate.
I am running Windows 7 and have DCS World, DCS Combined Arms and the A-10 Warthog installed. I purchased the A-10 from Steam so I downloaded the Module from DCS and used the Serial number from Steam and they all work fine except when I try to go into Multiplayer. 2b1af7f3a8
